Remote farms lie on the sunny foothills of Smrekovec, on the ridges between the peak Ludranski vrh (1219 m) and the pass Kramarica (1124 m), above the brook Koroška Kramarica. Steady farms with 87 inhabitants represent a treasury of a cultural heritage. Nearly each one has something precious: a building architecture, folk art ornaments, old buildings (“kascha”) or religious signs. The natural thing worth seeing is on Pudgarsko, where you can find the only primary wild growing location of Pinus cembra in Slovenia. A famous linden on the farm Najovnik is with its 780 years and 10,5m circumference the oldest and the most gigantic in Slovenia. The traditional “Meeting of Slovenian statesmen” is held here. The event offers a rich cultural programme with presentation of old carinthian customs. In the village Javorje there are five eco-farms and Audemars Piguet Royal-Oak Replica a tourist farm Smrečnik.
